M&E, Research & Evaluations22+

BFCS has delivered more than 22 monitoring, evaluation and research assignments for UN agencies, INGOs and government partners across Afghanistan. Our portfolio spans baseline, mid-term, endline and impact evaluations, organizational capacity assessments, gender analyses and large multi-sector studies — for clients including UNDP, Save the Children, Handicap International, the Swedish Committee for Afghanistan, Afghanaid, Norwegian Church Aid, International Medical Corps, UNFPA, Terre des Hommes and Counterpart International. Assignments have covered education, protection, GBV, WASH, livelihoods, disaster risk reduction, peacebuilding and climate change, applying mixed-method designs aligned to OECD-DAC criteria and tailored to Afghanistan's complex operating environment.

Capacity Building & Training12+

On the capacity building side, BFCS has designed and delivered more than 12 training and curriculum-development engagements for government ministries, donors and development partners. Work includes leadership, project management, results-based M&E, report-writing, PMP and CP3P (Public-Private Partnership) training for the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Education; irrigation, watershed and on/off-farm management training under CLAP-MAIL; hospital management and advanced good-governance / e-governance programmes with the Aga Khan Foundation; and curriculum development for hospitality, railway, mining and gas sectors with Mercy Corps and DRC. These engagements have strengthened the technical, managerial and governance capabilities of public institutions and implementing partners across Afghanistan.
